For the past few days, anyone arriving in Guangzhou from distant lands would have believed that summer was here to stay with its sweltering temperatures and humidity. Temperatures yesterday reached over 28℃ at noon, which led some office buildings, shopping malls, hospitals, and buses to switch on their air conditioners for the first time this year.
However, according to the Meteorological Bureau, a strong cold front will soon enter Guangdong bringing heavy rain and thunderstorms. On Sunday (Mar. 7th) temperatures will drop to around 10℃.
